Delano Hoover, CPA
Del is the founding and managing partner of the firm.
He has over 40 years of experience in public accounting.
He has served on the Executive Board of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA).
Peer Review Activity:
He served for three years (2001-03) on the Peer Review Board of the AICPA. He currently serves on the AICPA Peer Review Board's Oversight Task Force (chair 2002-03).
He has served as a technical reviewer and consultant to the Public Accountants Peer Review Acceptance Committee of the OSCPA since 1990.
He has performed hundreds of peer quality reviews.
In addition to his peer review committee work, Del manages all of the accounting and tax work for the firm and performs 20-25 peer reviews per year.
Glenn Roberts, CPA
Glenn has been with the firm since 1981 and is the audit partner.
He is currently serving on the Executive Board of the Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) and on the OSCPA Peer Review Committee. He has chaired the OSCPA Peer Review Committee, Accounting and Auditing Committee, and the Practicing Aspects of Compilation and Review Task Force.
He is a speaker and discussion leader for various OSCPA seminars on topics of compilation and review, independence, practice management, peer review, and not-for-profit organizations. He has also co-authored numerous articles for the OSCPA.
Glenn manages 25-30 audits per year plus a number of review and compilation engagements including A-133, not-for-profit, pension plans, construction, manufacturing, retail, service, agribusiness and other small business engagements.
Glenn also performs 15-20 peer reviews each year, principally of CPA firms that perform audits.
Guy Benge, CPA
Guy has nearly 20 years of experience in industry, working primarily in healthcare finance. He worked for over 15 years at a Dayton area multi-hospital network where he was responsible for Medicare Cost Reporting, Budgeting, and Third Party (Managed Care) Contracting.
He began public practice and joined the firm in 2000. He performs work for retirement plans, grain handling operations, retail firms, auto dealers, and a home health agency. He also prepares tax retuns for individuals and small businesses.
Guy also performs several peer reviews each year.
Cathy Browning, CPA
Cathy Browning, CPA, has been with Hoover & Roberts, Inc., since 1999. She is experienced in planning and conducting not-for-profit audits, including governmental audits and A-133 single audits, in Southwestern Ohio. She also prepares federal informational returns for her clients and advises them on accounting issues. She is proficient with Peachtree and QuickBooks accounting software. She is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
